Brand identity for Kochi On Flea.k, Kerala's first-ever flea market. As a Kochi native, having the opportunity to shape the visual identity of a pioneering local event was a unique and rewarding experience.

The event was first launched in February 2017 as a celebration of local makers, artists, independent sellers, food, and community. It has since grown into one of Kochi's most beloved recurring events, still drawing crowds today.

At the heart of the identity is a logo built around the elephant, the state animal of Kerala and a deeply symbolic figure in the Keralan culture. Elephants have long been central to Kerala's festivals and ceremonies, adorned in the "Nettipattam", the ornate golden caparison worn by these majestic animals during royal and religious occasions. I reinterpreted this iconic imagery in a vibrant, paper-cut style; colourful, handcrafted in feel and unmistakably Keralan. This makes it the perfect emblem for a market that celebrates all things artisan, handmade, and joyful.

Beyond the logo, I designed the full suite of event collateral, including the stage backdrop, invitations, badges, posters and marketing materials, creating a cohesive visual world that brought the spirit of the market to life before the first stall was even set up.
